Zeal Institute has conducted a session on ‘Yoga’

June 21 has been declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations – thanks to the Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi who initiated the idea. Originating in India almost 6000 years ago, yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which has helped several people worldwide to maintain good health, peace and harmony. To value our Prime Minister’s initiative and to build up a global consciousness. Zeal Institute, Pune has conducted a one hour session on ‘Yoga’ for all staff members and students of the institute. Around 650 staff members and students were gathered to attend the session.

Mr. Arvind Goyal and Mr. Saleel Punekar successfully conducted the session. They made all participants aware of natural technique to stay happy and healthy.   Zeal Institute’s Executive Director Mr. Jayesh Katkar has given a warm welcome by felicitating them both. Zeal Institute’s Principal Dr. A N Gaikwad ended  the session with  explaining the concept of yoga. Dr. A. N. Gaikwad said “Yoga is invaluable gift of our ancient tradition. It is not about exercise, but it’s a path through which an individual can discover his sense of oneness with nature. It embodies unity, unity of the mind and body, thoughts and action, restraint and fulfillment.

On the whole, it’s a holistic approach to health and well being”. Along with Dr. A. N. Gaikwad, Mr. Kulkarni C. N.,Principal of zeal polytechnic, Mrs. Neha Sharma Director of Zeal Institute of Business administration and computer application and Dr. Gaikwad Director of Zeal I.M.C.A. was present for yoga session.
