Delhi, 27th August 2024 – YouTube, the popular video streaming platform owned by Google, has increased the prices of its Premium subscription plans in India. The new pricing affects all major plans, including those for individuals, families, and students. The price hike is a part of YouTube’s ongoing strategy to enhance its services, which include ad-free streaming, background play, and other exclusive features. The changes have already been updated on YouTube’s official website, making it crucial for users to be aware of the new costs.

YouTube Premium is a subscription service that offers users several benefits, such as ad-free video streaming, the ability to play videos in the background, and access to a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. Additionally, Premium subscribers can enjoy enhanced high-definition video streaming and exclusive content. Despite the price increase, YouTube continues to offer a free plan for users who prefer not to subscribe to Premium.

The price of the Individual plan has been increased from ₹129 per month to ₹149 per month, while the Family plan has seen a significant jump from ₹189 to ₹299 per month. Student plans have also been affected, with the monthly cost rising from ₹79 to ₹89. Prepaid options for the Individual plan have not been spared either, with quarterly and annual prices seeing notable increases.

The new prices are as follows:

– Students (Monthly): Increased from ₹79 to ₹89
– Individual (Monthly): Increased from ₹129 to ₹149
– Family (Monthly): Increased from ₹189 to ₹299
– Individual Prepaid (Monthly): Increased from ₹139 to ₹159
– Individual Prepaid (Quarterly): Increased from ₹399 to ₹459
– Individual Prepaid (Annual): Increased from ₹1290 to ₹1490

These changes come as YouTube aims to continue providing high-quality services while adjusting to market demands. The company encourages users to explore the updated plans and select the option that best suits their needs.
