Young Pune-Based Couple Dies by Suicide in Ahmednagar’s Native Village

Pune/Sangamner, 12th August 2024: A young couple, married just three months ago, died by suicide in their native village in Maharashtra, sparking widespread concern. The deceased have been identified as Vaibhav Amle (22) and Sneha Amle (20). Vaibhav had been residing in Pune for work, and the couple had recently returned to their native village, Sakur, in Sangamner Taluka of Ahmednagar District.

The couple took their own lives yesterday evening in Sakur. Citizens and police quickly responded to the scene, where they found that the couple had tied a rope to a tree and ended their lives together.

Ghargaon Police were notified, and Police Sub-Inspector Nivant Jadhav, along with Pramod Gadekar, Subhash Bodakhe, and others, arrived at the location. A Panchnama (on-site investigation) was conducted, and the bodies were sent to Sangamner Hospital for post-mortem examination. An investigation is ongoing to determine the reasons behind the couple’s suicide. The incident has caused significant unrest in the area.
