Young Model Raped and Blackmailed, Accused Arrested in Pune
Pune, 29th June 2023: A horrifying case of rape has come to light, involving a young aspiring model who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a youth. The accused reportedly coerced the victim by threatening to share their couple’s modeling pictures on social media.
The 21-year-old victim bravely filed a complaint against the accused at the Chandan Nagar Police Station. In response, the police have taken swift action and arrested the perpetrator. The accused has been identified as Karan Anna Pagare (25), a resident of Vadgaon Sheri, Pune, and a native of Samangaon, Nasik district.
According to the police, the victim and the accused were acquainted with each other and had traveled together to Nasik for a modeling assignment. During the assignment, the accused allegedly took advantage of the situation and forcefully raped the young woman. Disturbingly, even after the assault, the accused continued to demand sexual relations from the victim while blackmailing her with threats of filing false cases against her and her family, as well as making their intimate pictures from the modeling shoot go viral.
The victim showed tremendous courage in refusing the accused’s demands. The Chandan Nagar Police have registered an FIR against the accused for sending the couple’s photos to the girl’s father’s mobile phone and defaming him in society. Police Sub-Inspector S. Kale of the Chandan Nagar Police Station is leading a thorough investigation into the matter.
