8th November 2023: Dominating the market with its sleek design and robust engine, the Yamaha MT 15 V2 is a high-performance bike renowned for its impressive fuel efficiency. Fueled by a 155 cc BS6 engine, this bike offers three variants and seven color choices, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.67 lakh in the Indian market. Equipped with A1 class features such as an anti-lock braking system, the Yamaha MT 15 V2 weighs 141 kg and has a 10-liter fuel tank capacity.

Setting it apart, the latest update in 2023 introduces enhanced features, including smartphone connectivity with Bluetooth integration into its fully digital instrument cluster. The display offers essential information like speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, gear position, fuel gauge, service indicator, and a clock. Moreover, the smartphone application provides features like battery status, call alerts, SMS alerts, email notifications, and a smart assist navigation system, allowing users to track fuel consumption.

Safety enhancements in the 2023 model include the addition of a traction control system and dual-channel ABS, complemented by LED turn indicators and full LED lighting. While the engine remains unchanged, the 2023 version incorporates onboard diagnostics (OBD2) for real-time emission level monitoring. Powered by a 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with VVA system, it delivers 18.1bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.2Nm peak torque at 7,500 rpm through a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch mechanism.

Hardware duties are efficiently handled by 37 mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock absorber. The braking system, equipped with dual-channel ABS and a traction control system, features a 282mm front disc and a 220mm rotor at the rear. With a fuel efficiency of 48 kilometers per liter and a 10-liter fuel tank, the Yamaha MT 15 V2 competes in the Indian market against formidable rivals such as the KTM 125 Duke, Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, Bajaj Pulsar N150, and RS250.
