Pune, 30 August 2021: Two decades into 21st century yet the wish to have son to continue the family tradition is far from over. In a shocking incident, a woman was stripped by her husband and mother-in-law after an exorcist told them to do it.
Apparently, the woman a mother to two daughters was harassed by her husband and mother-in-law to give her son. The duo thus met an exorcist who told them to strip her off and rub the charmed ashes all over her nude body.
The incident came to light after the woman lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws with the police. In her complaint, she also mentioned that she was harassed by in-laws for not paying dowry during the wedding.
She said, “in order to have a son, her husband and mother-in-law took her to an exorcist at Khulumbre (khed). The person after seeing her, chanted something and forced her to eat the ashes”.
