With 73 Flights Daily, Pune Airport Almost Back To Pre-COVID Period

Pune, 15th April 2022: The official handle of Pune airport on Thursday tweeted: 11,756 passengers arrived and 12,310 passengers departed from Pune Airport on 78 flights operated on 14th April 2022.

According to airport officials, before the pandemic in 2020, 85 flights used to operate daily. There is approval from the Indian Air Force (IAF) for 102 flights. Though we are reaching daily flights, on the passenger traffic we are yet to reach the pre-pandemic level.

In the pre-COVID period, Pune airport used to have an average footfall of 28,000-30,000 in a day. On December 24, 2021, with 22,500 passengers including 11,080 arrivals and 11,420 departures from the airport in 75 flights is the highest post-pandemic number now.
