Pune, June 24, 2018 : ‘‘Our foreign policy after independence had a prominent impact of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s idealism and Mahatma Gandhi’s principle of Non violence which is not wrong. But We also need to study Shrikrushna’s professionalism and practical approach in foreign policy,’’ mentioned Dr. Shailendra Deolankar, Foreign policy expert in a program today in Pune.

In an event organized by Manovikas Prakashan, a unique book- ‘Ya Sama Ha’ written by senior writer Dr. Sadanand More was unveiled at the hands of Deolankar. Dr. Shrikant Bahulkar, Honorary secretary, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Purnima Likhite, translator of the book and Arvind Patkar and Ashish Patkar of Manovikas Prakashan were present among the dignitaries.

Shrikrishna is considered to be one of the most popular and powerful figures of Indian ancient epics. There are two views to look at the life of Krushna. In one view he is Almighty and the other view tries to portray his humanness. In this book, More has unfolded the human side of Krushna and shows how his life can be followed by a layman.

Deolankar said, ‘‘I could spot the fundamentals of international politics on every page of this book. Indian ancient epic Mahabharat is an intellectual text that represents Indian thought of political philosophy. Krushna implied the peaceful coexistence in his policy while gaining control over the smaller states. He also showed that if the aim is based on morality, a little ‘Apadharma’ is fine

which means if the aim is moral, it is fine to explore all the ways to achieve it.’’

He

mentioned

that, Foreign policy of Shrikrushna and even Kans should be studied. Sometimes, when all avenues are exhausted, the war becomes a necessity.

Deolankar also sighted example of latest ceasefire during Ramadan in Kashmir and that during this period there were 66 attacks on Indian Jawans, also that 5 citizens got killed. He

also

mentioned about how India is trying hard to get the membership of UN security council.

Sadanand more talked about the book and about different incidents in the life of Krushna where we can learn his political understanding.
