Water Supply Disrupted In Many Areas Of Pune Due To Technical Failure

Pune, 29th June 2024: A technical failure in the 22 KV panel for the power supply at Khadakwasla Jackwell (Parvati 500 MLD) caused a disruption in the water supply to several parts of Pune today, at 6:30 AM. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) immediately commenced repair work, and emergency arrangements were made to restart the pumping system by 6 PM, informed the Chief Engineer of PMC’s water supply department.

Water supply to Palkhi route areas will remain unaffected. However, the following areas will experience a water supply shutdown until the repair work is completed:

Parvati HLR Tank Area: Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibvewadi, Mukundnagar, Gangadham, and surrounding areas.

SNDT HLR Tank Area: Gokhalenagar, Kothrud, Dahanukar Colony, Chatushringi, and surrounding areas.

Lashkar Water Center: Entire Hadapsar, Ramtekdi, Solapur Road, Koregaon Park, Mohammadwadi, Race Course, Kondhwa, Kharadi, Yerawada, and surrounding areas.

Vadgaon Water Purification Centre: Entire Katraj, Ambegaon, Dhankawadi, Kedareshwar tank area, Sukhsagar Nagar, and surrounding areas.

The water supply in these areas is expected to be restored by 12 AM. The PMC apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation during this time.
