Baramati, 28th June 2024: Residents of Baramati, including the constituency of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, will face alternate day water supply due to inadequate rainfall. Mahesh Rokade, CEO of the Baramati Municipal Council, confirmed this decision, citing the closure of the Neera River’s left bank canal which has led to reduced water storage capacity. Consequently, water supply will be suspended on alternate days until further notice.

Rokade emphasized the importance of water conservation and urged residents to use water judiciously during this period of restricted supply. The measure underscores the severity of the water shortage, impacting daily life in Baramati even amidst the monsoon season.
