Wagholi, Kharadi, Baner, Urulikanchan, Nanded City, Kalepadal To Get New Police Stations

Pune, January 3, 2021: Soon Pune city will get five new police stations and Pune rural will get one police station. A meeting will be held on Monday by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to decide the final date of creation of the new police stations. Officials said that the new police stations may come into existence from January 26, 2021.

As per the proposal, Wagholi police station will be carved out from Lonikand police station, Urulikanchan from Lonikalbhor police station, Nanded City from Haveli police station, Baner from Chatushrungi police station, Kalepadal from Hadapsar police station and Kharadi from Chandan Nagar police station.

Wagholi, Nanded City, Baner, Kalepadal and Kharadi police stations will be under Pune City police.

The meeting in Mumbai will be attended by Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, MLAs Chetan Tupe, Sunil Tingre, Ashok Pawar, Pune City Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta and Superintendent of Police (Pune rural) Dr Abhinav Deshmukh.
