Vodafone-Idea Joins Tariff Hike Trend, New Prices Effective from July 4

New Delhi, 29th June 2024: Following the lead of Reliance Jio and Airtel, Vodafone-Idea (VI), the third-largest telecom company in India, has announced an increase in its tariff plans. The revised prices will come into effect from July 4.

Vodafone-Idea’s basic plan, previously priced at Rs 179, will now cost Rs 199, reflecting an approximate 20 percent hike. This adjustment aligns with recent price increases by Reliance Jio and Airtel, whose new prepaid plan rates will be implemented from July 3.

VI’s annual plan, which was previously priced at Rs 2899, will now cost Rs 3499. This plan, valid for 365 days, includes 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS daily.

The hike in tariff plans by Vodafone-Idea comes on the heels of similar increases by industry giants Reliance Jio and Airtel, indicating a broader trend within the telecom sector. Customers are advised to review their usage and plan benefits to ensure they select the most cost-effective option as these changes take effect.
