Vistara Flight Delay Sparks Passenger Frustration at Pune Airport
Pune, 21st February 2024: A video circulating on social media captures the frustration of passengers at Pune airport over what they believed to be the cancellation of Vistara UK974’s Pune to Delhi flight. However, Vistara has clarified that the flight was not canceled but delayed.
According to information shared by passenger Pranali Shah on social media, “Vistara, DGCA, please look into the situation. More than 120 passengers are waiting at Pune airport, and staff are not cooperating with us. They have canceled the flight just because their head crew is ill, like seriously.”
In another tweet, Shah expressed, “And the call center guy refused to provide I5 0767 while departing at 6:40 and did not handle it, and I am on a long wait. Please look into this.”
Responding to these concerns, Vistara issued a statement through X, saying, “Hi Pranali, we apologize for the inconvenience. Flight UK974 is delayed due to operational reasons; however, the same is not canceled. Sometimes, these changes occur due to factors beyond our control, despite our best efforts.”
Vistara added, “You may visit Vistara website to check the flight status for real-time updates. Rest assured, we are working to expedite the departure. We hope you understand.”
The airport officials confirmed that the flight eventually departed at 8:40 am and landed in Delhi at 10:30 am, deviating from its scheduled departure time of 5:35 am.
