Pune, 1st June 2024: A video captured by Atharav, a recent job seeker, has gone viral, shedding light on the dire employment situation faced by many in Pune. The footage shows an overwhelming crowd outside a consultancy firm in Shivaji Nagar, reminiscent of another viral incident in January 2024 where over a thousand job seekers queued in Hinjewadi.

Atharav, who visited Pune for a job fair, was taken aback by the sheer number of people gathered at the consultancy firm. He shared his experience, saying, “If you’re not satisfied with your job, just watch this video. Recently, I went to Pune for a job fair, and when I saw it, all these students came here to get one job, and the salary was less than 15k.”
The consultancy firm, located in Shivaji Nagar, claims to have successfully placed over 70,000 candidates through its training programs, primarily offering positions in IT infrastructure. Despite these claims, the viral video starkly highlights the ongoing employment crisis and the lengths to which job seekers are willing to go for a modestly paid position.
