Viman Nagar: RTO, Traffic Police Have Turned A Blind Eye To Dumper Vehicles With No Number Plate

Pune, January 21, 2021: Regional Transport Office (RTO) and Traffic police have been ignoring the dumper transport on Nagar road putting the lives of various motorists in danger. With massive construction activity in and around Nagar road, various dumpers ply on the road.

Majority of the time, these dumpers do not have the number plates. If they have, the number plates are all covered with mud. There are several ongoing construction projects in Viman Nagar, Kharadi areas. The dumpers transport the construction material throwing all the cautions to the wind.

These dumpers do not have tail lights or number plates. The drivers do not follow the traffic rules either. This put the lives of the motorists in danger.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena member Balasaheb Shingade said, “The fine by the traffic police is very nominal. But the RTO can take strict action. Thus, we demand strict action against these dumper drivers.”
