Viman Nagar goes green on the World Environment Day

Pune, June 8: Viman Nagar residents association (VNRA) in association with AXA initiated a drive of tree plantation on the world environment day on 5th June, Sunday.

The event was inaugurated by chief guests MLA, Jagdish Mulik and local corporator Mrs. Usha Tai Kalmaker. VNRA president Mr. Arjun Jagtap and CEO of AXA Mr. Sandeep Arora were also present on the occasion.

The proceeding of event included open speeches of MLA and local corporator in which they gave the audience a glimpse of awareness towards the environment and they also introduced a blue print of their future plans for its betterment. Performances by kids were the adorable part of the event. Later on plantation of trees took place by chief guests and hosts along with a large number of active and aware citizens. The street was buzzing with the activity with over more than 200 people offering their labour in an endeavour to save the environment and also all beautiful and helpless creations of the nature. It was Sunday but nowhere a constraint for volunteers to be on the road. It was encouraging indeed to see the enthusiasm of young people towards their effort to save the environment. Undoubtedly it was also an awakened moment for the viewers who show a conscious and effortless contribution of emeritus people for this important initiative. A pledge was taken by all that they will nurture the nature for future and perseverance will go a long way in making a difference.

At last both the partners of the venture that is VNRA and AXA exchanged their gratitude for supporting and participating in this pleasing venture.
