Vice President condoles the loss of lives in Varanasi stampede

“I am saddened to hear of the tragic loss of life in a stampede in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh yesterday. I understand relief and rescue operations are currently underway.

I join the people of the country in conveying my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish speedy recovery to the injured persons.”
