Vi Expands L900 and L2100 Networks in Maharashtra to Boost Indoor Coverage and Data Speeds
Pune, 4th September 2024: Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its L900 and L2100 technology to over 4,200 sites across 35 districts in Maharashtra, including Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Thane. This initiative is part of Vi’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its network infrastructure, aimed at delivering an improved experience for its users following a successful follow-on public offering (FPO).
The deployment of L900 and L2100 will significantly improve indoor network coverage, especially in areas with dense building infrastructure and suburban locations. Vi users can expect better voice quality and faster data speeds on the GIGAnet 4G network.

Vi has also introduced several user-centric plans and offerings for its customers in Maharashtra:
Hero Unlimited Plan: Prepaid customers can enjoy features like ‘Unlimited High-Speed Data from 12 am to 6 am’, ‘Weekend Data Rollover’, and ‘Data Delight’ that offers up to 2GB of extra data per month at no additional cost. This plan is available starting at Rs. 349.
Vi Guarantee Programme: Customers with 5G smartphones or those who have recently upgraded to a new 4G smartphone can benefit from an extra 130GB of guaranteed data over a year. The data, amounting to 10GB, is automatically credited every 28 days for 13 cycles.
Vi Movies & TV App: To meet the growing demand for affordable entertainment, the app now offers access to 17 OTT platforms and 350 live TV channels through a single subscription. The service is available under two new subscription plans—Vi Movies & TV Plus, priced at Rs. 248 per month, and Vi Movies & TV Lite, priced at Rs. 154 per month.
With these developments, Vi aims to strengthen its position in the Maharashtra telecom market while providing customers with enhanced services and connectivity.
