Vande Bharat Train From Pune To Mumbai, Delhi And Cities Under Discussion: Mohol

New Delhi/Pune, 2nd August 2024: Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol held a detailed discussion with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav regarding various pending issues of the Pune Railway Division and its adjoining areas. The discussion also focused on the launch of the Vande Bharat Express from Pune, which has been under consideration for several years. Vaishnav provided an in-depth explanation of the pending issues using a detailed map.

Several railway-related issues in Pune and Western Maharashtra have been pending for years. Mohol has taken the initiative to expedite the resolution of these issues. With the positive approach shown by the Railway Minister, these issues are expected to be resolved soon.

While providing information about the meeting, Minister Mohol stated, “We had a detailed discussion on several topics, including the Pune-Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, the expansion of the Pune-Lonavala railway route, Pune-Ahilyanagar railway connectivity, the renovation of Pune railway station, and the new terminal at Uruli Kanchan. Vaishnav not only provided comprehensive information on these issues but also discussed the action plan for the coming period.”

Notably, during his speech in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, the Railway Minister announced the launch of the Vande Bharat Metro service, which will connect important cities in the country. In line with this, discussions were held on considering the Vande Bharat Metro service for connecting Pune with Nashik, Mumbai, Solapur, and Nagpur, Mohol added.
