UPSC Releases Notification for CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2025

New Delhi, 14th March 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Applications are invited from eligible male and female candidates interested in joining the CAPF. The written examination is scheduled to be held in August 2025.

Recruitment Details

The recruitment aims to fill vacancies in the following forces under CAPF:

Border Security Force (BSF)
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

The online application process has already begun, and interested candidates must apply before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
The age limit is 20 to 25 years as of the cutoff date.
Age relaxation applies to candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC),
Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Civilian
Central Government employees as per government norms.
