Pune, September 12, 2023: United Sports Club took a slender 9 runs lead , while Deccan Gymkhana registered a big score in their first innings in the semifinals at the PYC-Goldfieldd MANDKE TROPHY which is being organised by PYC Hindu Gymkhana and sponsored by Goldfieldd Properties and played at PYC, Desire Sports Club Ground.
In the match being played at PYC Gymkhana Deccan Gymkhana club Opening partnership between Yash Boramani 66 runs) and Harsh Sanghvi (23runs) of 66runs in 58balls helped the club put on 312 runs for loss of 7 wickets (277 runs) against PBKJCA who in reply were 160 for loss of 3 wickets at end of days play thanks to a 4th wicket unbeaten partnership between Nikunj Vithlani (not out 72runs) and Abhishek Pawar(not out 61 runs) of 120runs in 108balls
In another semi final match being played at Desire cricket ground United Sports Club were bowled out for 118 runs (58 runs) against Poona Club . However Poona Club could not capItalise and were bowled out for 109 runs in the first innings in a low scoring match
