Pune, June 11, 2017: With the aim of creating a jewellery hub for Pune city and to provide a much-needed platform to the gold industry, Stylus events, the Maharashtra Rajya Saraf Suvarnkar Federation and the Pune Saraf Association are organising ‘Unique Gems and Jewellery International Show 2018’ (UGJIS) in the city. The doors to this unique exhibition will be open from June 16-18 annonced FatehchandRanka, President, Pune Saraf Association during a Press Conference held in the city.

This 4th edition of the exhibition will be open from 10 am to 6 pm at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center in Chinchwad. The entry to UGJIS 2018 is free of cost. Being a trade show, entry is only for jewellery professionals. Ranka also stated that every trader visiting the exhibition would be obliged to show his GST number and the visiting card at the entrance.

Amrutlal Solanki, Secretary, Pune Saraf Association, Rajendra Vaikar, Jt. Secretary, Pune Saraf Association, Kumarpal Solanki, Treasurer, Pune Saraf Association, Ranjeet Shinde and Shrikumar K. P, both Directors of Stylus Events were present at this time.

Ranka informed that this exhibition is organized every year with the collaboration of the Pune Saraf Association and Maharashtra Rajya Saraf Suvarnkar Federation. This is the fourth consecutive year of exhibition and it will have 325 stalls. The display will be in ‘Business to Business’ (B2B) format where the dealers will get to witness world class gems, variousjewellery types, machinery and tools used for it, innumerable designs and trends under one roof.

“Today, numerous exhibitions related to jewelleryare happening in the country where businesses get a platform. But in the state of Pune there are no such exhibitions. Considering this, we have organized this unique exhibition with the view of making a city like Pune a ‘Jewellery Hub’. We intend to create a platform through this exhibition for the jewellery and karigar associations across Maharashtra and nearby states,” informed Ranka.

UGJIS 2018 has stalls to cater to the widespread and growing demands of the jewellery trade fraternity in Maharashtra. Temple, Antique, Jadau, Bikaneri, Polki work, Kundan, Thushi, Contemporary, Mangalsutra, Chains (Machine & Hand-made), Bangles, Rings, Nose-pins etc. are some of the types of jewellery which will be on display. The machinery section has software, jewellery manufacturing machinery, tools, institutes, security and safety devices.
