Mumbai, September 8, 2020: With the Centre providing Y-plus security to the actor Kangana Ranaut, the state does not happy with the decision. Several Shiv Sena ministers and others from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government are displeased with Ranaut because of her recent comments. The MVA legislators have demanded action against the actor for insulting Mumbai and Maharashtra.

This issue also came up in the monsoon session of the state assembly on Monday. Speaking on the passing away of a former Sena MLA and minister Rathod from Rajasthan, Thackeray took a dig on Ranaut and said, “Unlike several people, some don’t have any gratitude for the city they live in and earn their livelihood.”

Pratap Sarnaik, Sena MLA submitted a letter to the deputy speaker Narhari Zhirwal and mentioned that they are unanimously demanding legal action against the actor for defaming Mumbai and Maharashtra in her recent tweets. Sarnaik said, “The centre just wants to oppose the state government. If the Maharashtra government speaks out against Dawood, the central government will also give him protection just to do politics.”

Sarnaik and Zhirwal have directed Anil Deshmukh to take the necessary action within 24 hours and submit a report.
