Udaan 2024: A Celebration of Special Children’s Talents in Pune

Katraj, 11th July 2024: Over 150 special children showcased their diverse talents at ‘Udaan,’ a spectacular event held on Saturday at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Padmavati, on Pune-Satara Road. Organized by the NGO Youth The Power to Change, the program aims to provide a platform for special students to display their abilities and boost their confidence.

Sayali Agavane, a 33-year-old professional Kathak dancer, shared her experience, saying, “I teach children with similar disabilities and help them discover their potential. Udaan gives me a stage to showcase my talent and helps create awareness about people with disabilities, like me.”

Dattatreya Bhave, a tabla player and teacher whose students participate in the event every year, remarked, “The platform is inspiring for my special students and empowers them to shatter perceptions that hold them back.”

Rohan Shetty, the founder and president of the NGO, highlighted the organization’s year-round efforts, stating, “Apart from this, we also organize sports, cultural, and yoga-based activities for special children and their parents throughout the year.”

Also present at the event were Adv. Nikhil Limaye, Atul Dave, Mangesh Agawane, Rashmi Nair, Vijayalaxmi Shetty, Juie Bhagat, Ismail Momin, Vinit Andre, Adv. Yogiraj Pawar, Akash Bulgir, Ganesh Patil, Rajlaxmi Nimbalkar and Paulomi Nimbalkar.
