Two-Day Academic Audit Of Pune University To Start From Tuesday

Pune, 14th November 2022: The academic audit of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will be conducted from November 15th. The academic and administrative departments of the university are ready for this examination to be conducted by a committee of experts.

 

As per the provisions of the Public Universities Act, every public university is required to undergo an academic audit once in three years. This audit is done by experts from outside the university. These include former vice-chancellors, scientists, senior grandmothers and former professors of foreign universities.

 

The inspection of the 57 academic and administrative departments under Savitribai Phule Pune University will be done between November 15 and 16 by these experts. This work of educational examination will be done under the guidance of in-charge Vice-Chancellor Dr Karbhari Kale, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjiv Sonwane, and Registrar Dr Prafulla Pawar.

 

 

Giving more information about this, the Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Dr Sanjay Dhole, said, “We have reviewed the work done by the university in three years at our level, and academic training has also been conducted.”

 

“This internal assessment at the university level is important for raising academic standards, and research. This internal assessment helps to work on deficiencies and improve performance in national and international standard examinations. The quality of the university is checked through this examination,” SPPU’s in-charge VC Dr Karbhari Kale said.

 

“This internal audit will clarify the status of the departments as per the quality criteria through expert reports. As the university will participate in the NAAC process in the year 2024, its preparation plan and planning can be done from this report. The university will use this examination as an opportunity to raise its ranking,” Dr Sanjeev Sonwane, Pro-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, said.
