Noida, 28th August 2022: Protocols were issued for the residents of the housing complex and its surrounding buildings, in which there are a total of 850 flats in both the buildings and on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

 

Today, the Noida Supertech Twin Towers located in Noida are to be demolished and great care is being taken to avoid any adverse situation before its demolition. A day earlier, protocols were issued for the residents of the housing complex and its surrounding buildings. There are a total of 850 flats in both buildings and it is located in Sector 93A, near the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

 

The demolition process of the Twin Towers will be completed within just 9 minutes. At the same time, debris removal will start around 2:30 pm. No vehicle, human or animal is allowed to be around it.

 

 

 

Why are the Supertech Twin Towers being torn down?

In view of the decades-long legal battle, the Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of both buildings. The developers were instructed to demolish the building due to the short distance of both towers. However, some locals fear that the demolition will cause damage. Meanwhile, others are feeling relieved. They say that they are waiting to return to their homes.

 

 

 

Procedure and protocols:

6:30 am – Piped gas supply will be stopped in the flats.

7:00 am – People living in Emerald Court and nearby ATS Village will be evicted.

7:00 am – On Sunday, the roads around both towers will be sealed.

9:00 am – The maintenance staff will vacate the society.

11:00 am – The security personnel will leave the premises.

1:00 pm- Task force personnel will inspect the site and leave the surrounding areas.

1:45 pm – Detailed site inspection will end half an hour before demolition.

2:15 pm- Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will remain closed.

2:30 pm – The demolition process will begin.

2:45 pm – Traffic will be restored on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

4:00 PM – Piped gas supply will be restored in the flats. Full restoration will take 3-4 hours.

5:30 pm – People around will be allowed to return home.

 

 

 

Guidelines issued before demolition of Twin Towers:

 

 

 

Residents of the 6 societies adjacent to the Twin Towers are prohibited from accessing the roofs during the process of its demolition.

 

Noida Police has banned the use of drones in the city skies from August 26 to August 31, citing security reasons.

 

Flights within one nautical mile above the explosion site will be temporarily suspended.

 

The dust will remain in the air for 15 to 20 minutes after demolition. However, how far the dust storm will go will depend on the speed and direction of the wind.

 

10 Anti-Smog Guns have been installed and they will be released during the raising process.

 

The fire brigade will sprinkle water to control the dust.

An ambulance will be kept on standby in case of any emergency.
