Pune, 10th November 2023: The commencement of construction on an integrated double-decker flyover, coupled with the metro project, has prompted a temporary alteration in the traffic system from Aundh to Shivaji Nagar in the Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk area. The initiation of work on the metro and flyover pillars is set to begin on Saturday (12th)

Given the significance of this route, commonly used by commuters travelling from Pune to areas such as Ravet, Pimpri Chinchwad, Pimple Saudagar, Aundh, Sangvi, and more, the traffic system has been reconfigured. Additionally, individuals from the PCMC area often utilize this route to access Jungli Maharaj Road, Fergusson College Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune Railway Station, and Shivaji Nagar, among other destinations.

To facilitate the ongoing construction work, specific traffic diversions have been implemented. Two-wheelers travelling from Aundh to Shivajinagar are advised to enter the university premises from the road near Chatushringi Police Station and exit through the main entrance between 8 am and 8 pm.
