Traffic Advisory: 6 Hours Block On Mumbai – Pune Expressway For Panvel-Karjat Double Track Suburban Rail Corridor Work

Pune/Mumbai, 17th January 2024: In light of the Panvel-Karjat Double Track Suburban Rail Corridor work, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited has scheduled the closure of the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway (Mumbai Pune Expressway) on the Mumbai Channel at Km 07.560 (Chikhale Rail Over Bridge). The closure will take place on January 18, 2024, between 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Alternative Routes:

1. Light vehicles from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can take the Mumbai Lane Km 55.000 exit and follow the route via Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48.

2. Light vehicles and buses from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can take the Mumbai Lane 39.800 Khopoli Exit and proceed via Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48.

3. All types of vehicles from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can utilize the last lane at Khalapur Toll Gate, diverting from Km 32.500 to Khalapur exit and taking Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 through Khopoli via Shedung Toll Plaza.

4. Vehicles from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can divert from Mumbai Lane 9.600 Panvel Exit and use Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 to reach Kalamboli via Karanjade.

5. All vehicles from Pune to Mumbai on Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 will be diverted towards Panvel through Shedung Phata.

During the specified hours, all types of vehicles, including light and heavy vehicles, will be restricted on the Mumbai Channel of the Mumbai Pune Expressway. Commuters are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and use the provided alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.
