The Fall Guy Set For OTT Release On JioCinema From 3rd September

Pune, 14th August 2024: Fans of action-comedy are in for a treat as the highly anticipated film “The Fall Guy”, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, is set to stream on JioCinema starting 3rd September 2024. After being available for rent on Prime Video and ZEE5, the film is finally making its full OTT debut on JioCinema. Directed by David Leitch, “The Fall Guy” is an adaptation of the popular 1980s TV show of the same name, bringing together the dynamic on-screen pairing of Gosling and Blunt in a thrilling narrative.

“The Fall Guy” follows the story of Colt Seavers, a seasoned stuntman played by Ryan Gosling, who finds himself entangled in a conspiracy while working on the directorial debut of his ex-girlfriend, Jody, portrayed by Emily Blunt. The plot thickens when the film’s lead actor mysteriously disappears, forcing Colt to step in and save the day, both for the movie and his chance at rekindling his relationship with Jody. The movie also features performances by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, and Hannah Waddingham.

Emily Blunt shared insights into her role, explaining that her character, originally written as a tough and severe director, was reimagined as someone overwhelmed by the situation. “We all kind of built her together because we thought it would be more captivating to see someone in over their head,” Blunt said.

Despite a star-studded cast and mostly positive reviews, “The Fall Guy” struggled at the box office, earning only $178 million worldwide against a $125 million budget. However, with its upcoming release on JioCinema, the film is poised to reach a broader audience, offering viewers an exciting blend of comedy, action, and romance.
