Tension Between Canada And India Still On A Rise: Consulate Services Suspended

Chandigarh, 21 October 2023: The tensions between India and Canada are still high and Canada has now suspended consulate services in many states including Chandigarh.

This is extremely disheartening for the people in Chandigarh since a huge population of people from that side of the country go to Canada.

Many people who had meeting at the Chandigarh consulate office yesterday were also left in shock as no prior information was given to them.

Anyone who wants to now visit a consulate, has to travel all the way to Delhi as that is the only office that is open. All other offices have been temporarily closed and don’t have a reopening date.
