Tata Altroz Racer Sets New Record, Becomes Fastest Hatchback in India
Pune, 27th June 2024 – Tata Motors’ latest offering, the Altroz Racer, has set a new benchmark in the hatchback segment by becoming the fastest car in its category in India. Recently launched in the Indian market, the Altroz Racer has outpaced competitors like the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno Turbo on the track. The record-breaking performance took place at the CoASTT race track in Coimbatore, where Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first Formula 1 driver, showcased the car’s capabilities.
Powered by a robust 1.2-liter Revotron turbocharged engine, the Altroz Racer delivers 120 PS of power and 170 Newton meters of torque. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, complemented by front disc and rear drum brakes. All variants come equipped with 16-inch tires, enhancing both performance and stability on the road.
Tata Motors offers the Altroz Racer in three variants, starting from an introductory showroom price of ₹9.49 lakh. The top variant is priced at ₹10.99 lakh ex-showroom, aiming to cater to enthusiasts looking for a blend of performance and affordability in the premium hatchback segment.
