‘Swara Gandhaar’ program to be held on March 29

Pune, 26th March 2025: Swara Gandhaar is an inaugural initiative by Gandhaar Creatives, founded by renowned harmonium player Ameya Bichu. Ameya is a disciple of harmonium exponent Shri Tanmay Deochake and is also under the tutelage of Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar and Vidushi Padma Talwalkar.

He aims to promote Indian classical music through this platform. Swara Gandhaar will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 9:30 AM onwards at MES Balshikshan Auditorium, Kothrud, Pune. Entry for this event is free and open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gandhaar Creatives is a platform created “by an artist, for the artist”; said Ameya Bichu. “Through this organization, we plan to host various programs and workshops in the near future. Additionally, we aim to provide opportunities for young artists who aspire to contribute to Indian classical music. Also to interact with renowned artists, experience their art, and learn from them, is our motive.”

The program will commence with the formal inauguration of Gandhaar Creatives in the presence of renowned vocalists Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar and Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar. This will be followed by a Santoor performance by Dr. Shantanu Gokhale, a disciple of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, accompanied by Aashay Kulkarni on the tabla.

The second session of the program will feature a vocal performance by Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, accompanied by Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar on the tabla and Ameya Bichu on the harmonium.
