Mumbai, 24th August 2024: Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is setting new benchmarks at the Indian box office, with early reports indicating that it will register the highest second Saturday collection in Hindi cinema history. Released on August 15, Independence Day, the film has continued to dominate despite stiff competition from two other big releases, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. On its 10th day, Stree 2 is expected to rake in around ₹35 crores, pushing its total collection to an impressive ₹345 crores.

Early trends reveal that Stree 2 is outpacing major blockbusters like Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (₹33 crores), Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (₹30 crores), and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (₹29 crores), making it the highest-grossing second Saturday for a Hindi film. It also surpassed Prabhas’ Baahubali 2, which collected ₹26.50 crores on its second Saturday.

With this momentum, Stree 2 is poised to enter the ₹400 crore club by the end of Sunday, further solidifying its status as one of the biggest hits of the year. The film’s unprecedented success underscores the continued popularity of the horror-comedy genre and the star power of its lead actors, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. As the film industry watches closely, Stree 2 continues to break records and set new milestones in Hindi cinema.
