State Tourism Department To Organise Special Tours For Ganesh Pandals In Pune And Mumbai

Pune 29th August 2023: The Directorate of Tourism Department of the state government will organise a special tour for visitors to visit ganesh pandals in Pune and Mumbai during the ganesh festivals this year. The unique initiative will be conducted for the second consecutive year after it received a good response last year. The tour will cover six ganesh pandals in Pune and six will be covered in Mumbai.

The Mumbai-based Tourism Guide Association (Maharashtra), in collaboration with the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, is presenting exclusive tours for the prominent Ganesh pandals in Pune. These tours coincide with the Ganeshotsav festival scheduled from September 19th to 25th.

 

Farhan Shaikh, the President of Tourism Guide Association-Maharashtra, described the initiative as a remarkable offering that encompasses elements of history, culture, cuisine, and a spiritual journey.

 

The tour will encompass several iconic pandals in Pune, including Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Tulsi Baug, Guruji Talim, Dagdusheth Halwai, and Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati. Two daily batches, each accommodating a maximum of 20 individuals, will participate in the tour.

The cost is set at Rs 300 for Indian tourists and Rs 600 for foreign tourists. Farhan Shaikh added that every group will enjoy special access to the pandals, accompanied by an experienced tour guide.

 

Furthermore, the organizers have established a partnership with the online platform BookMyShow to facilitate booking arrangements.
