Pune, 5th August 2024: The Maharashtra State Skill University has launched a new initiative aimed at supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government to implement the Academy of Maharashtra Research Upliftment and Training (AMRIT).

Under the AMRIT scheme, 50 selected entrepreneurs will receive financial assistance of ₹3 lakh each, according to a statement from the Skill University. The MoU stipulates that the university will annually select 50 new entrepreneurs from across the state. Detailed information about the scheme and application process is available on their website: [https://mssuispark.in].

“Securing funds is often a major challenge when starting a new business. With this scheme, we aim to eliminate that obstacle,” said Apoorva Palkar, Vice Chancellor of the Skill University. “Each of the selected entrepreneurs will receive ₹25,000 per month for a year, providing crucial support during the initial phase of their business setup.”

In addition to the AMRIT initiative, the state government has launched the Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme to further support budding entrepreneurs. “This year’s budget includes several provisions and schemes for young entrepreneurs, which will be promoted in Maharashtra,” Palkar added.
