Sports Mania win the final round; finish second
Pune, 4th April 2025: Sports Mania archived the win they had set out against SSE BFC Soccer Schools, Mumbai winning confidently 3-0 in the last group encounter of AIFF Sub Junior League 2024-25 at the Sports Mania ground, Wakad on Thursday.
Needing a win and hoping Dsouza F.A do not win their Round-10 encounter, Sports Mania went about their mission with Hitaansh Khatri (3′ and 11′) netting a brace, while Kartik Joshi (62′) completed the scoreline.
The win helped Sports Mania finish with 20 points (10 matches) ahead of Desouza F.A (19 points). Mumbai City (26 points) topped the group.
In the other encounter Mumbai City and Dsouza F.A drew their encounter 1-1 and shared a point each.
Sports Mania by finishing second have qualified for the play-off stage and are clubbed alongside F.C Mangalore and Chennaiyin F.C.
The matches of the playoff stage will be played in Orissa on 25th April (F.C Mangalore) and 27th April (Chennaiyin F.C).
