Spice Jet Employee Under Scrutiny After Passenger’s Cash Stolen from Bag at Pune Airport

Viman Nagar, 5th September 2024: It has come to light that the bag of a passenger traveling from Dubai to Pune was stolen by breaking the lock. A case of theft has been registered against an employee of Spice Jet Airlines at Vimantal police station in this regard.

Arjun Dhondiba Jagtap (aged 47, resident of Viman Nagar) has filed the complaint. The incident took place in Spice Jet flight no. SG 52 on Tuesday between 12:10 and 10:30 AM.

According to the information provided by the police, Jagtap has a business of buying and selling land. He landed at Pune Airport from Dubai by Spice Jet. When his bag came off the belt, it was found that the lock of the bag was broken. When they checked the contents of the bag, they found that seven thousand rupees kept in the bag was stolen. At that time, when Jagtap informed the CISF and Customs employees about this, they were given vague answers. The bag was damaged to the tune of ten thousand rupees.

Jagtap filed a complaint at the Vimantal police station as there was no disclosure on behalf of the airline company.

Police sub-inspector Ganesh Salunkhe is conducting the further investigation.
