Senior Citizens, Bedridden Patients Will Get Vaccines At Home: PCMC

Pimpri, 22nd May 2021: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched an app ‘Me Jababdar’ to provide vaccines for those who are unable to go to vaccination centres. The vaccine will be given to the senior citizens, bedridden patients after they have registered themselves on this app, said Rajesh Patil, Municipal Commissioner, PCMC.
The municipal corporation has initiated various drives for vaccination. According to this new drive, the vaccine will be given to those who are unable to come to the vaccination centres. This will also help to avoid the crowd gathering at the vaccination centres, said the commissioner.
To avoid inconvenience and confusion regarding the vaccination, the commissioner has set the priorities in which the first preference will be given to the handicapped people, the second will be senior citizens, third preference will be given to the people who came to take 2nd dose of vaccine and thereafter the vaccine will be given to other people.
The handicapped people are allowed to bring an assistant with them and a wheelchair will be provided to them at the vaccination centres. Availability of the vaccine, which vaccine doses will be given, all this information will be given with the help of a display board. Ward-level guidance will be provided to those people who are facing difficulty in registration.
People who were COVID19 positive will be vaccinated after three months, said the officials.
