Search Operation ends as body of missing student recovered

–         Death toll rises to 14 

Pune/Raigad, Feb 2  – After resuming search operation at Murud beach, the rescue and search team’s have recovered 14th and last body of a missing college student, who was drowned along with other 13 students on Monday afternoon. While on yesterday the local police had recovered 13 bodies from the sea.

According to the reports, Indian navy and Coastguard had resumed their search early in the morning on Tuesday.

After around two hours team founded a shirt that helped to locate the missing student’s body that went deep into the water.

The Defence officials said that, the security forces personal had started their operations this morning and aerial search was conducted around Murud beach. A Naval vessel and helicopters of navy and coastguard were deployed for the operation, the official added.

Meanwhile, six students were rescued on Monday and 13 bodies including 3 girl students were recovered and taken to Pune. All these students are from computer science department of Abeda Inamdar College in Pune and had gone to the pick nick, where this tragedy has taken place.

The state government has announced the aid of Rs. 2 lakh to the families of deceased student’s.
