Savitribai Phule Pune University and BMCC, City University Of New York (CUNY) USA Sign ‘Statement Of Shared Interest’
Pune, 3rd November 2022: Today (November 3), the borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), City University of New York (CUNY) and Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) signed a ‘Statement of shared Interest’. The SSI aims to connect colleges affiliated with SPPU in order to provide quality education of global standerd to the students. The students may have an opportunity to learn in a hybrid mode.
On this occasion SPPU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjiv Sonwane, Registrar Dr. Prafull Pawar, BMCC President Dr.Anthony Munroe, Vice-President Dr. Sanjay Ramnath, Director and Founder of International Center Dr. Vijay Khare, Head of Technology Department Dr. Aditya Abhyankar, Director of Innovation Cell Dr. Sanjay Dhole and other dignitaries were present along with representatives of 30 autonomous colleges.
With the ‘Statement of Shared Interest’ it may be possible to take new courses in agreement with this college, undertake joint research projects, exchange professors and students, hold joint workshops, seminars, etc.
The University has started the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. Under the guidance of University Chancellor Bhagatsinh Koshyari, University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale and National Higher Education Mission Coordinator and Head of Technology Department Dr. Aditya Abhyankar, recently started visiting many educational institutions in America in order to establish educational and cultural relations between India and America. Five MoUs were also signed with different foreign organisations.
