Satara Collector mandates mask use in government offices, schools, and colleges to curb COVID-19 and seasonal influenza spread

Satara, 3rd April 2023: In view of the increasing cases of seasonal influenza and COVID-19 in the state, the Secretary of the Public Health Department has issued instructions to take necessary measures to implement preparedness and countermeasures.

Accordingly, the Satara Collector, Ruchesh Jaivanshi, has issued orders mandating the use of masks for all government officials and employees in government, semi-government offices, banks, schools, and colleges in the district.

Additionally, all citizens are urged to use masks voluntarily in crowded and public places such as weekly markets, ST stand premises, yatras, gatherings, weddings, and other events where large numbers of people gather. Collector Jaivanshi has also appealed to everyone to use sanitizer frequently and maintain social distance.

These measures are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and seasonal influenza in the district.
