‘Sankalp Digital Maharashtra’ kicks off for the students of Pune District

Pune, June 28, 2018: ‘Sankalp Digital Maharashtra’ is an initiative to provide Digitalization to the schools of rural areas of Pune kicked off recently in the city. This initiative is jointly started by Seva Sahayog and Software Exporters Assosciation of Pune (SEAP). These organization target to make Pune District as the first digitally literate district of the country and they jointly entitle to provide computer sets and its education to all school students of remote areas.

This ‘Sankalp Digital Maharashtra’ is the brain child of Vidhyadhar Purandare, Secretary, SEAP. The mission has been recently inaugurated at Balshikshan Mandir Auditorium, Mayur Colony, Kothrud. Atul Nagras, Chairman, Seva Sahayog Foundation, Shailesh Ghatpande, Director, Operations, Seva Sahayog Foundation and Purandare graced the event with their presence.

On the day of inauguration the organization has provided 68 computer and 9 laptops to 16 Zila Parishad schools and 3 NGO’s from Bhor Taluka.

SEAP intends to use the unused computers from various software companies for a social cause. After checking the working condition of these computers, the organization provides them to schools of remote areas where digitalization is an issue which is still dreamt about. Apart from providing hardware the organization also work upon providing computer education to these remote area schools.

Though the initiative has been recently inaugurated, but its preparations has been actively started since a year before. Where 950 sets of computers have been distributed to make the schools of Maharashtra digitalized. In near future SEAP targets to provide hardware to the schools of Maval Taluka of Pune District. Providing hardware and its education is a promise done by the organization to themselves is clearly reflected by their work done so far.
