Pune, May 11, 2024 – Royal Enfield has applied for a trademark for the name Guerrilla 450, signaling the imminent arrival of its second 450cc motorcycle in India. The model has been spotted undergoing tests across the country, although the company has yet to officially confirm its launch.

Royal Enfield’s plans for 2024 include a significant expansion of its portfolio in India. The trademark application for the Guerrilla 450 hints at the introduction of another 450cc motorcycle in the market, with the model’s logo also revealed in the filing.

The trademark application has passed formalities checks, indicating progress towards the launch. While specifics about the Guerrilla 450 remain limited, it is anticipated to share the 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine of its adventure counterpart, the Himalayan 450. Testing of the model has already been observed at various Indian locations, with anticipated features including conventional telescopic forks for the front suspension, a rear mono-shock unit, dual-channel ABS with disc brakes on both wheels and a minimalist design.

In terms of competition, the Guerrilla 450 is expected to enter the fiercely contested mid-capacity segment, pitting itself against rivals such as the Triumph Speed 400, Bajaj Pulsar NS 400, KTM 390 Duke, and the forthcoming Hero Expulse 400. The launch is projected to occur by the end of the year.

While Royal Enfield has yet to provide official confirmation, the filing of the trademark and leaked logo indicate that the Guerrilla 450’s debut is imminent. With its impending arrival, the motorcycle is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian market, offering consumers a promising new option in the 450cc segment.
