Rotary International Word President honours Dr Deepak Shikarpur

Rotary International world’s first and largest Global Service organization has constituted a Global annual award“Service Above Self” for Individuals performing Selfless Humanitarian service in the community. This is an internationally competitive award.Nominations are invited from 200 plus countries covering all global continents. Shortlisting is done with tough criteria and Rotary International Board of Directors decides the final list of awardees. This is Rotary International’s highest honor for an individual. Award consists of a Citation Signed by World Rotary International President and a Pin.

For the year 2017-18 , PDG Dr Deepak Shikarpur has been Selected by the Rotary International for the “Service Above Self” Award.

The award Citation and Pin was presented to him by World RotaryInternational President (2018–19) Barry Rasin in presence of Rotary InternationalDirector for South Asia Mr C Basker in presence of District Governor (3131) Abhay Gadgil. Since 1995, Dr Deepak Shikarpur is spreading Digital literacy in masses through his 38 books, Articles, talk shows , Videos and free career counseling. Union Government has nominated him as a member of National IT Board of AICTE for vitalizing IT Education.
