Retd ACP Bhanupratap Barge conferred with Life-Time Achievement Award

Several Police personnel, Fire personnel and Security professionals received awards at the Surakshit Awards 2019 in presence of DCP, Bachchan Singh, Bhanupratap Barge and Joint CP, Ravindra Shisve.

 A Life-Time Achievement Award was conferred on Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Bhanupratap Barge for his exceptional service in the Indian Police force. Barge was felicitated and awarded by Ravindra Shisve, Joint Commissioner of Police, Pune and Bachchan Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police- Crime, Pune at the Surakshit Pune Awards 2019 organized by Pune Security Professionals (PSP) on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Hotel Westin, Koregaon Park.

Members of Pune Security Professionals (PSP), Lloyds Das, Mangesh Kate, Shekhar Mehta and Sunil Beedlam were also present at the occasion.

Accordingly, several other police personnel including Chhaya Gujar (Sub-Inspector), Sunil Kulkarni (Sub-Inspector), Varsha Anthony (Head Constable- Traffic), Ganesh Thopte (Head Constable- Traffic), Shrikant Kurkelli (Constable- Traffic), Jitendra Koli (Inspector- Traffic) were also conferred with awards in various categories at the ceremony. Satish Jagtap, Fire-man, Girish Bidani and Parimal Fulsunge, Centre Head / Location Head, HSBS, UPS, Pune were also awarded at the function.

Speaking at the event, Joint CP, Ravindra Shisve said, “Police have the mandate to protect the city but we can’t do it alone. We have to collaborate with the security associations and stakeholders as we need different initiatives and ideas to progress and make our cities more safe. We have to look for new resources for collaboration and only through hand-holding we’ll be able to do more. Through that, we can channelize our energy into doing something more constructive for the society.”
