Railways To Install Three More ATM Machines At Pune Railway Station Through E-Auction Process
Pune 11th August 2023: The Central Railway has announced plans to install 9 ATM machines at various railway stations located in the Pune division. This includes 3 ATM machines that will be installed at the Pune Railway Station, 1 each at Pimpri, Akurdi, Talegaon, Chinchwad, Miraj and Kolhapur. The process to install these ATM machines will be done according to the E-Auction system.
The E-Auction system has replaced the earlier tendering process and manual bidding system by further reducing the time of issuing the contracts. Earlier the traditional process used to take around 30 to 45 days to officially handover the contract while now the tender will be finalised within a day. E-auction will remain open for around 30 minutes to 1 hour for participants for online bidding.
Railways will earn a revenue of Rs 30.15 lakh per year from license fees charged from those who are granted the contacts. The contractor who will install three ATM Machines at the Pune Railway Station will pay Rs 2,25,000 Rs as license fees to the railways while the contractors are Telgaon, Pimpri, Miraj and Chinchwad Railway Stations will pay Rs 50,000 each per year and contractor for Kolhapur Railway Station will pay Rs 60,000 per year to the railways, The contracts will be given five year tenure.
