Pune Zilla Parishad Initiates Recruitment Drive To Fill 1000 Vacancies

Pune, 5th August 2023: After a decade-long wait, the Pune Zilla Parishad is gearing up to fill a significant number of vacancies across various cadres. A total of one thousand vacancies are set to be filled, marking a substantial relief for job-seeking individuals. The recruitment process is scheduled to commence from today.

This long-awaited recruitment drive comes as a beacon of hope for the region’s unemployed youth who have been eagerly anticipating employment opportunities. The vacancies encompass a wide range of positions, including roles like Health Supervisor, Drug Manufacturing Officer, Laboratory Technician, Contract Gram Sevak, Junior Engineer, Junior Accounts Officer, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant, Extension Officer, among others.

Among the positions to be filled, a notable highlight is the appointment of 436 Arogya Sevak (Women) posts within Pune Zilla Parishad.

The journey towards this recruitment process began with the Zilla Parishad sharing the necessary information with the concerned agency back in May. Initial expectations hinted at an advertisement release around the beginning of July 2023.

However, the delay in publishing the advertisement, extending from July into August, created restlessness among the unemployed youth who had been waiting anxiously. The Zilla Parishad acknowledged these concerns and explained that the state’s rural development department had originally indicated the possibility of conducting this recruitment process as early as December 2022.

Following that, the Rural Development Department had planned to release the official advertisement in January 2023. Historically, the recruitment process had typically commenced in July each year. Interestingly, the state government had previously launched recruitment processes in March 2019 and August 2021 through the Mahabharti initiative, aimed at filling Class C vacancies. Unfortunately, both these recruitment drives were subsequently cancelled by the State Rural Development Department in October 2022. Subsequent efforts led to the formulation of a revised framework for filling C class cadre vacancies.
