Pune Youth Robbed of Cash and Online Money Transfer in Khadki Area

Khadki, 4th September 2024: In front of the Railway Police Headquarters in Pune’s Sangam Bridge area, thieves threatened a young bike rider and robbed him of cash. The young man has filed a complaint at the Khadki Police Station.

The incident happened around 1:30 PM yesterday. The youth, who lives in the Khadki area, was going towards the Sangam Bridge area when thieves on a two-wheeler stopped him in front of the Railway Police Headquarters. The thieves threatened him with a knife and stole ₹750 from his pocket. They then demanded more money, threatening to kill him if he did not comply. The thieves also forced him to transfer ₹1,750 online. After robbing him, the thieves fled.

Police Sub-Inspector Gunjal is investigating the case. There has been an increase in robberies targeting bikers in the city in recent months, and incidents of mobile phone snatching from pedestrians have also risen.
