Pune Youth Celebrates 16th season of College Idol and Mr. & Ms. University
Pune, 9th Oct 2018: College Idol and Mr & Ms. University 2018, good look pageant organized by Asia’s First Event Institute, NIEM, is a Beauty Pageant and talent hunt as well as it is an honor to acknowledge college students. The glitzy affair was hosted at Nehru Memorial Hall Pune, offered the best of fashion, music and more. The esteemed jury panel includes names like Sharvari Jemenis, Piyush Malhotra, Nandan Gijare Diniar Patel, Zeeshan Khan and Neetu Bhatia judged the College Idol and Mr. & Ms. University was judged by Vaishnavi Rao, Minnie Rohilla, Rj Ira, Sandeep Dharma, Terence Anthony, Chetan Agrawal, Jitesh Patil, Dr. Hoshi Bhiwandiwalla and Dr. Rajiv Zaveri few others.
The Pune NIEM students again proved that they are great event managers as the Pune Finale of College Idol and MMU rocked on 8th October. The students of Asia’s best event college NIEM – Pune organized two mega shows – Mr. & Ms. University and College Idol – Season 16. The main credit goes to the NIEM students for whom the event is a passion organized such a spectacular show that a seasoned event manager would find it difficult.
The winners were Sohel Samlewale (RMC College) and Mohini Verma (Indira College), in the second place Anish Jain (Vishwakarma College) and Avni Rathi (Fergusson College), in the third place Austin Santiago (Christ College) and Sakshi Bora ( Rajgad College) winners were announced as the winner of the College Idol 2018 as a unanimous choice of the judges.
In the evening the spectacular Mr. & Ms. University titles were won by Mr. Kumar Shambhav ( Symbiosis College) and Ms. Khushbu Kshirsagar ( Suryadatta College) The first runners-up was Mr. Nikhil Tripathi (Symbiosis College) and Urvi Mehendale (Nawrosjee Wadia College). Mr. Shubhankar Paranjpe (AISSMS College) and Kinnari Joshi (MIT College) got the third place who will represent Pune at the grand all India finals at Mumbai, they will be trained by personalities like David Whitbread, Hemu Sihna, Dr. Mayekar, Mickey Mehta and many more industry experts.
The winners in the sub-categories were Mr. Photogenic Viraj Daga (Whistiling Wood) and Ms. Photogenic Vaishnavi Kakade (D.Y.Patil College), Mr. Robust was Mayank Begi (DSH Medical College) and Ms. Ten Neha Hassan (AISSMS College) , Ms. Smile was Bhagyashree Shetty (Siddhivinayak College), the Audience choice were Ms. Vidhi Sarda ( Symbiosis College) and Mr. Akash Kale (Kashibai Navale College).
