Pune: Youth Accused of Stalking For Sexual Purpose; Attacks Victim’s Family with Cutter in Pimpri Chinchwad

Dighi, 2nd May 2024: A youth in Pimpri Chinchwad regularly stalked a college girl for sexual purposes, eventually molesting her. This stalking incident occurred over the past year in Dudulgaon. When the girl’s family members attempted to take the youth to the police station, he attacked the girl and her father with a cutter, inflicting injuries and attempting to murder them both. The cutter attack incident took place on Alandi Pune Road in Charholi Budruk on Monday (29th April).

In response to this, the 50-year-old father of the girl, a resident of Dudulgaon, complained to the Dighi Police Station. Dighi Police arrested Krishna Balasaheb Kale, aged 28 and a resident of Shel Pimpalgaon, Khed.

According to the police report, the accused and the victim girl are acquainted with each other. The accused molested the victim girl by stalking her while she was going to college for sexual purposes. This behaviour had been ongoing for approximately one year. On 29th April, the accused was observed standing and looking at the complainant’s gallery. The complainant and his daughter went downstairs, and the complainant apprehended the accused, fearing he would harm his daughter. The complainant, his wife, and their two daughters forced the accused into a four-wheeler and attempted to take him to the Dighi Police Station.

Near the Wadmukhwadi stop, the accused brandished a paper cutter and held it to the complainant’s daughter’s neck, threatening to kill her. The complainant stopped the car, and the accused attacked the daughter’s hand, injuring her. Despite the complainant’s efforts to resist, the accused also injured the complainant’s hand.

In response to this incident, the police have registered a case against the accused under IPC Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons and means), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 354 (D) (stalking). Assistant Police Inspector Ambhore of Dighi Police Station is investigating this matter further.
